• This article covers how to charge your ring, including what to do if it won't power on.

Detailed Explanation

• Place the ring into the charging case, aligning the charging port with the charging pin. The contacts are magnetic, and the ring will vibrate when it's in the correct position.
• Connect the charger: plug the charging case into a working power source (e.g. wall adapter, USB port) using the USB-C cable provided. The ring can charge while it's sat in the case, so you don't need to remove it first.
• The ring will emit a red light while charging.
• You can view the charge percentage of your ring by connecting to the app and checking your home screen for battery icon. 
• To receive notifications about charging, please ensure that you have enabled Sekonda Smart Ring App notifications on you phone settings after downloading the App.
• The LED on the back of the case will turn green once the case itself is fully charged; this is separate from the ring's own charging light.
• Leave the case connected to power for around 2 hours for a full charge.
• We recommend fully charging your ring before you start using it day-to-day.

Things to try if your ring or charging case is not charging: 

• If the ring does not flash when connected, it may not be positioned correctly on the charging point. Please reposition until the ring light comes on. 
• Try a different USB-C cable to charge the case.

Charging Lights Explained

The indicator light on the charging case is located next to the USB-C port.

Charging the case:

• Flashing red light on case = Case is charging
• Solid red light on case = Case is fully charged

Charging the case and ring at the same time:

• Flashing red light on case = Case is charging
• Solid red light on case = Case is fully charged

Charging the ring only (via case):

• Flashing green light on case = Ring is charging
• Green light turns off on case = Ring is fully charged

Note: If the case does not show any light when initially connecting to the ring, the case is dead.

Ring indicator (inside the ring)

The ring light will also give charging indications.

Red light = Ring is charging

5 minute green light = Ring is fully charged

Light is off after charging = Ring has fully charged

Precautions

• Make sure the ring has enough charge before sleep, so sleep data isn't missed overnight.
• Ensure charging contacts are clean and properly aligned. Poor contact is a common cause of failed or slow charging.
