Why does the green light flash when I take of my smart watch?Updated 14 days ago

Relevant models: Active, Active Plus, Motion, Motion Plus, Track, Connect.

The green light on your smart watch is part of the heart rate sensor, which uses light to detect your pulse.

If Daily Heart Rate Monitoring is enabled in the Sekonda Smart app, your watch will attempt to measure your heart rate at regular intervals—typically every 5 minutes. This function continues even when the watch is not being worn, which is why the green light may flash after removal.

To turn off daily heart rate monitoring:

  1. Open the Sekonda Smart app

  2. Tap the menu

  3. Select “Device”

  4. Toggle off the switch next to “Daily Heart Rate Monitoring”

Disabling this feature may also help conserve battery life. You will need to enable this feature again for automatic readings once you are ready to wear your watch again.
