Why does the green light flash when I take off my smart watch?Updated an hour ago

The green light on your smart watch is part of the heart rate sensor, which uses light to detect your pulse.

If continuous heart rate monitoring is enabled, your watch will attempt to measure your heart rate at regular 5 minute intervals. This function continues even when the watch is not being worn, which is why the green light may flash after removal.

To turn off continuous heart rate monitoring:

  1. Open the Sekonda Move app
  2. Tap the cog icon in the bottom right of the screen
  3. Go to “Fitness & wellbeing” → “Auto monitoring”
  4. Toggle off the switch next to “Heart Rate Detection”

You can also switch this off on your watch: swipe down from the home screen, tap the cog, then go to “Health Management” → “Health Monitoring”.

Disabling this feature may also help conserve battery life. You will need to enable this feature again for automatic readings once you are ready to wear your watch again.
